Hybridgriberen blev udstillet p氓 robotmessen EU 2012 Robotics Forum i Odense den 5.-7. marts. I den forbindelse blev Knud Aulk忙r Andersen fra Teknologisk Institut inviteret ind i DRs Aftenshowet for at vise roboth氓ndens evner.

Hybridgriberen er en helt unik roboth氓nd til brug industrien, der med sine tre fingre efterligner funktionen i menneskets fingre. Noget af det s忙rlige ved Hybridgriberen er, at den kan foretage en meget f酶lsom ber酶ring af emner p氓 grund af en r忙kke sm氓 sensorer, som er indbygget i fingrene.

Udviklingsprojektet omkring Hybridgriberen har igennem de sidste tre 氓r involveret mange ITI-medarbejdere: Jan Michelsen, J酶rgen Maagaard og laboratoriemekanikerne og flere studerende. I dag er det dog hovedsageligt Jesper Olsen, som repr忙senterer ITI i Hybridgriber-projektet, som er st酶ttet af H酶jteknologifonden og har ca. et halvt 氓r endnu at l酶be p氓.

P氓 EU 2012 Robotics Forums hjemmeside beskrives Hybridgriberen s氓ledes:
The Hybrid Gripper is a new kind of robot hand and the first of its kind in the world. The hand is a completely original invention with a range of unique features: It's flexible, affordable, customer adapted, and robust. The needs of the industry are the fundamental basis of The Hybrid Gripper. The hand catches and manipulates securely with a wide variety of physical objects (in terms of weight, shape, surface, center of gravity, material, and other aspects). At the same time, it is cost-effective to invest in the hand, even when relatively few objects are to be handled in many small series with a lot of variations. New customized hands are quickly and easily produced to match specific requirements, including quantity, size, and strength of the fingers and sensors. All hands are molded in a durable material.
