About º£½ÇÉçÇø Mechanical Engineering

The section º£½ÇÉçÇø Mechanical Engineering (ME) focuses on issues within mechanical design, structural dynamics, multiphysics simulation, topology optimisation, fluid mechanics and heat transfer, materials technology, and maritime technology.

Research in  structural dynamics  include mathematical modelling, condition monitorering, structural health monitoring  and modal analysis of  supporting structures in e.g. windmills and offshore constructions.  

Research in Multiphysics Simulation, Optimisation and Experimentation focuses on analysis of complex Multiphysics problems using advanced numerical methods, computational morphogenesis and experimental validation.

Research in fluid mechanics and Heat Transfer is built on theoretical, numerical and experimental analysis with focus on innovative applications for  environmental improvement. 

Research in the field of materials technology focuses on design, simulation and performance characterization from a mechanics of materials perspective, and on new ways and methods to manufacture composite materials.

Research in maritime technology focuses on sustainable operation of vessels and naval constructions with particular focus on energy efficiency, vibration and fatigue.

Within  mechanical design research focuses on projects both i collaboration with the industry and internally  at TEK, primarily with º£½ÇÉçÇø Robotics, º£½ÇÉçÇø Health Informatics and Technology, º£½ÇÉçÇø Energy Informatics and º£½ÇÉçÇø UAS Centre.
