• Familiar - yet part of something great

  º£½ÇÉçÇø offers over 200 university education programmes in five cities. We encompass the entire Region of Southern Denmark with our five campuses – from the smaller campuses with 500–2500 students to the Odense campus, which is Denmark’s largest campus at over 250,000 m2. In Odense, the faculties, education programmes, associations and activities interconnect like streets in a city. The physical proximity between the different programmes means that knowledge is shared across the board, for example, between literature and medicine or between sports students and researchers in robotics.

  The campus in Sønderborg is characterised by engineering students and education programmes with a global perspective. In Kolding, the emphasis is on data and design. Esbjerg has a wide range of faculties, which include law, psychology, business administration and medicine, and soon º£½ÇÉçÇø Vejle will open with hardcore IT programmes. 

  Wherever you study, you will become part of a vibrant and active study environment with young people who share exactly the same interest as you – as well as others who are completely different.

• Responsibility for climate and sustainability 

  At the º£½ÇÉçÇø, we know that we only exist on the strength of our interaction with the world around us. We participate in society, and we take responsibility for our role and contribution. We are committed to the world around us, to the climate and to the future, and sustainability is an important value for us.

  We work actively to reduce our environmental impact and are striving to become as sustainable as possible. In 2021, the laboratories at º£½ÇÉçÇø were the first in the Nordic region to receive a sustainability certification from GreenLab for significantly reducing energy consumption, and we were ranked 11th out of 956 universities in GreenMetric 2021. And we are continuously working to become even more sustainable, for instance, by reducing our CO2 emissions.

• A pleasant study environment

  We want you to enjoy being a student at the º£½ÇÉçÇø – and it is enjoyable.

  º£½ÇÉçÇø generally ranks highly in surveys about study environment, teaching quality and learning environment, and we conduct a study environment survey every two years, which we actively use to develop and improve the study environment in areas that need attention. The five faculties and many different fields of study attract a great diversity of students from both Denmark and abroad, which means that you are welcome here too.

• Academic quality

  Various international rankings, including the ARWU (Academic Ranking of World Universities, also known as the Shanghai Ranking), consistently place the º£½ÇÉçÇø among the top 200–300 universities in the world. The ARWU shows that º£½ÇÉçÇø performs particularly well in terms of research, teaching and international collaborations.

  At º£½ÇÉçÇø, the relationship between students and lecturers is informal. This means that as a student at º£½ÇÉçÇø, you are met at eye level and directly challenged by the visions and ambitions of some of the country’s brightest minds in the field. • International outlook

  The º£½ÇÉçÇø is an international university, and this is embodied in the number of international researchers, lecturers and students on º£½ÇÉçÇø’s campuses, in international collaborations and in the opportunities to spend one semester (or more) at one of our many partner universities abroad or undertake an internship at a company abroad.

  We have over 500 international partners, which gives you access to a wealth of opportunities, both in terms of exchange stays and international research.

  At º£½ÇÉçÇø, you can also study a range of programmes in English, so you will be well prepared for the globalised labour market, and you have the opportunity to build relationships with fellow students from all over the world.
