Clinical internships and Erasmus+ traineeships for medical students

Internships are arranged independently

If you are applying as an Erasmus+ Trainee or in any other internship format not connected to an º£½ÇÉçÇø exchange programme, you must arrange your stay directly with a department at OUH or a research unit at º£½ÇÉçÇø.

  • You are responsible for contacting a clinician, professor or researcher
  • You must coordinate and plan your stay yourself
  • Your home university must accept the setup

º£½ÇÉçÇø does not coordinate or approve these internships. If a department agrees to host you, they are fully responsible for your learning plan, supervision and all documentation.

Partner universities only

º£½ÇÉçÇø only arranges clinical internships at OUH for students from universities that have a formal agreement with º£½ÇÉçÇø. If your university does not have a partnership with º£½ÇÉçÇø, we cannot support your stay in Denmark.

Limitations and responsibilities

  • You will not be enrolled at º£½ÇÉçÇø
  • You cannot take part in º£½ÇÉçÇø courses, lectures or exams
  • You will not receive transcripts or official documents from º£½ÇÉçÇø
  • You are not covered by º£½ÇÉçÇø or OUH insurance
  • You are not eligible for º£½ÇÉçÇø’s housing guarantee

You must arrange full-time liability and accident insurance during your stay. Please make sure your home university accepts the documentation issued by your host department – º£½ÇÉçÇø will not issue any official documents for your stay.

º£½ÇÉçÇø and OUH are separate

º£½ÇÉçÇø and OUH have close cooperation in multiple aspects including clinical internship for medical students enrolled at º£½ÇÉçÇø, but they are separate institutions.

Only the hospital can decide on placements and provide documentation.
