Why choose Physics and Technology?
Physics and Technology is for you if you…
- want to gain a deep understanding of physics and learn how to turn it into technological progress
- want to work with advanced and cutting-edge technology
- want study in an interdisciplinary academic environment with exciting opportunities
What will you learn?
The programme gives you a solid understanding of the laws of physics and their technological applications. You learn to use mathematical and numerical methods to analyse and solve complex problems, develop measurement methods, and use programming for data analysis and modelling.
You gain insight into mechanics, optics, quantum mechanics, electromagnetism, nanotechnology and signal processing, and you learn to apply that knowledge in practice through project work from the first semester. Many projects are carried out in groups, where you develop your collaboration and communication skills.
At º£½ÇÉçÇø, you also have the opportunity to become involved in an active study environment and student societies working with, for example, space technology, the development and launch of CubeSat satellites and stratospheric balloons.
Teaching methods
The teaching alternates between theoretical classroom instruction, often together with the Physics students, and practical project work in groups.
Student/teacher testimonial
“Working in project groups prepares you for going into industry afterwards. When you are working with technologies as advanced as some of the ones we work with here, you will not be working with them on your own.”
Christine Kamstrup Dam, student
