Application fee

Who must pay an application fee

As of the September 2026 intake, applicants who are non-EU/EEA citizens must pay an application fee of EUR 200.

The application fee must be paid before the application deadline for º£½ÇÉçÇø to process your application. The deadline is 15 March at 12 noon (CET).

Important to know

  • You only pay the application fee once, regardless of how many programmes you apply for at º£½ÇÉçÇø per enrollment. If you apply the following year again you must pay the fee again.
  • If you have already paid the application fee in connection with a pre-assessment, you do not need to pay again.

How to pay the application fee

To pay the application fee, you must:

  1. Go to and pay 200 EUR (credit card payments only)
  2. Upload the payment receipt (NETS receipt) to your application on www.optagelse.dk – no later than 15 March at 12 noon (CET)

It is your responsibility to ensure that the receipt is uploaded on time. Without proof of payment, º£½ÇÉçÇø cannot process your application.

Exemption from the application fee

You may be exempt from paying the application fee if you hold either:

  • a permanent Danish residence permit, or
  • a residence permit that exempts you from application and/or tuition fees
Please note
  • a Danish qualifying exam does not automatically exempt you from paying tuition fees.
  • an IB Diploma or IB Certificate completed in Denmark does not count as a Danish qualifying exam for fee exemption purposes.

How to document exemption

If you claim exemption, you must upload the following to www.optagelse.dk before 15 March at 12 noon (CET):

  • a scan of your residence permit (front and back), and
  • the decision letter stating the legal basis of the permit.

If your residence permit does not qualify for exemption, º£½ÇÉçÇø will contact you with instructions for payment.

Terms of payment

Please be aware of the following conditions:

  • If you do not pay the application fee or document exemption, your application will be rejected.
  • You must pay the fee even if you have previously studied in the programme (this does not apply to re-enrolment).
  • If you are admitted to º£½ÇÉçÇø, the application fee will be deducted from your first tuition fee payment.
  • If you pay the fee and apply after the deadline, the fee will not be refunded.
  • The fee applies only to the intake you have applied for and cannot be transferred to another intake.
