Formula Student

The competition is separated into parts where the car runs in 4 dynamic events like classical time trials, while static events is expressed as presentations and documentation for a jury. In static events the students compete in technical knowledge, business plan and cost documentation among other things.

History

º£½ÇÉçÇø Vikings have existed since 2007 and is the oldest and one of the biggest student organizations on the technical faculty of º£½ÇÉçÇø. Many of the former team members now possess positions in companies as Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains, Universal Robots and many more.

  • º£½ÇÉçÇø Vikings competes in the largest engineering contest in the world, Formula Student.
  • The team trains highly skilled engineers through practical experience under standard industry practice and interdisciplinary work.
  • º£½ÇÉçÇø Vikings has a lot of racing heritage and a long history of developing race cars to further improve performance every year.
  • One of the largest student organizations on º£½ÇÉçÇø spread on two campuses in Odense and Sønderborg with around 100 members.

Training engineers for the industry

º£½ÇÉçÇø Vikings' facilities and network provides opportunities for the coming engineers through bachelor- and master projects to develop their skills in the futures cutting-edge technologies. 

Practical experience with electric powertrains, high- and low-voltage system and the isolation in between. Handlings of batteries, motors, motor controllers, inverters and converters. Organizing signal monitoring and programming Battery Management Systems and other. 

º£½ÇÉçÇø Vikings gives the students a unique opportunity to put theory into practice.
