The Financial Accounting department handles º£½ÇÉçÇø’s sales invoicing and reminder procedures, and the department ensures the registering of º£½ÇÉçÇø’s purchase invoices. Accounting ensures that the University’s employees and guests are reimbursed for their travel expenses and the department is in charge of the cash register function at º£½ÇÉçÇø.

The Budget department is responsible for º£½ÇÉçÇø’s overall budgeting and budget follow-up including co-ordination of this. The department liaises with the individual areas/faculties, and in addition to conducting general financial management, the department conducts budgeting and budget follow-up for submission at management level.

The department is responsible for handling financial law, student FTE (full-time equivalent) forecasts, rent forecasts and the University’s budgeting and fixed salary forecasting, with budgeting being carried out at person level.

In addition, Budget is responsible for commercial services, entering National Budget revenues, grant registrations, etc. The department has a special role in relation to the University’s Central Administration: Budget takes care of the concrete budgeting, monitoring and financial management in co-operation with the heads of division.

The Controller department performs service and control to ensure proper accounting across º£½ÇÉçÇø. Controller is responsible, among other things, for preparing the annual report and following up on internal accounting controls and workflows as well as for optimising them.

Furthermore, the department provides support with the University’s financial system and participates in the development of the financial system (ERP).

The Procurement and Tendering department enters into and co-ordinates collective agreements on behalf of the University.

The department is responsible for the electronic procurement system and ensures compliance with applicable legislation in the area of procurement.

The Research Support – Finance (FS-Ø) department is responsible for the overall financial management of º£½ÇÉçÇø’s external projects, i.e. grant-funded (research) activities.

FS-Ø has an advisory and guiding function on financial and practical issues throughout the life of a project from the application phase to project completion.

FS-Ø carries out legal checks on regulatory frameworks, including approving application budgets, preparing financial reports and ensuring that the right administrative procedures are in place from the beginning to the end of a project. FS-Ø acts as a financial link between researchers/departments and external funding agencies as well as auditors.

The Central Administrative Service Team and Climate Operations department handles procurement and accounting tasks for the following areas of the Central Administration:

In addition, the office handles tasks related to climate operations, including responsibility for and the position as head of the Climate Ambassador Network Group at º£½ÇÉçÇø, acts as the secretariat of the º£½ÇÉçÇø Climate Panel and participates in Epicur on matters related to climate operations.
