Global Sustainable Production (GSP) – Excellence in Supply Chain
Global Sustainable Production (GSP) is a research and teaching section dedicated to advancing supply chain management research, with particular attention to environmental and climate sustainability, social sustainability, and the operational performance dimensions that link them. Our research focuses on the major transformations shaping contemporary global supply chains. We work on just and sustainable transitions, occupational health and safety, digital transformations, drone applications in supply chains, innovation in supply chains, and circular economy. We also study the role of innovation systems in enabling broader transformations of global supply chains, and we conduct dedicated research on supplier development in the Global South.
Our section pioneers applied research that also contributes to theoretical development. We have developed new methodological approaches, especially within ethnographic intervention research and critical evaluation. The section also contributes leading operations research within supply chain contexts.
GSP collaborates closely with companies, workers, public authorities, NGOs, and international organisations engaged in transforming global supply chains toward more sustainable and equitable forms of production. Our research is regularly translated into policy recommendations and practical guidance for decision鈥憁akers and companies.
The section contributes to the BEng in Global Management and Manufacturing (GMM) and for the Master’s programme in Work Environmental Management (Master i Arbejdsmiljøledelse). We also contribute to the Master’s programme in Operations Management and electives and training courses at Diploma, Bachelor, and Master’s level through Mit海角社区.
