The aim of our project is to establish objective biomarkers (via eye-tracking and voice analysis) in a virtual reality environment for the diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder in adults. Until now, there are only few and insufficiently validated tools to aid the diagnosis of ASD in adults. The process is very time-consuming and needs highly specialized and trained staff. We strive to contribute valuable insights to the field of neurodevelopmental disorder diagnostics in order to provide better access to support for autistic individuals and to improve their overall health outcomes and life expectancy.
