The area of robotics and automation is not very visible on the Green Transition agenda although this will play a key role as enabler for solutions in many different areas. It is a focus of the º£½ÇÉçÇø I4.0Lab to highlight this importance by showcasing examples and by providing new solutions.
Examples of already ongoing º£½ÇÉçÇø I4.0Lab activities within robotics and automation for the green transition are
-
Automated waste sorting (Spatais)
-
Robotic disassembly of used products
-
Frequency converters (Robotic Disassembly of Plastic Components)
-
Electrical connectors
The physical realization of prototypes of robotic solutions for Green Transition challenges in some cases require exceptionally large space and is hence not suitable for the º£½ÇÉçÇø I4.0Lab. Here, the new facilities at º£½ÇÉçÇø Center for Large Structure Production (LSP) at the Port of Odense will be used instead. The transition of software technologies between LSP and the º£½ÇÉçÇø I4.0Lab is simple as these will be conceptually similar.
