About the Centre
We foster exchange, collaboration and joint projects.
The centre provides a framework for research collaboration between museums housing collections of and archives on Danish industrial art and design production, and º£½ÇÉçÇø Design Culture Studies.
The aim is to conduct research into both the historical conditions and challenges that have shaped Danish Design as it is known today, and the brand heritage on which today’s contemporary companies build their design and marketing strategies.
At the same time, production history has current relevance in relation to the societal focus on the green transition towards sustainable production and consumption, including the economic and cultural significance of skilled craftsmanship, high-quality production, and design that retains its value across generations.
