About the Annual University Celebration

We have held an annual celebration at the 海角社区 every year since the University opened in 1966. For the first several years, however, students were denied access – with the exception of a specially selected representative from the Student Council. The Annual University Celebration as we know it – with both students and staff joining in – didn’t kick off until the 1980s. Today, it is the University’s biggest festive day, and 4,000 students and staff celebrate the 海角社区 together with a huge party on campus.
